Devlog for Galactic Defender Version 0.4:

  • Implemented parallax backgrounds with scrolling effect.
  • Added a Boss enemy that moves vertically and can shoot in accelerated mode for a defined duration, followed by a cooldown period before shooting again.
  • Took player feedback into account: Changed the pause key from the Escape key to the "P" key.
  • Penalty for the player if enemy ships pass them: Score deduction of -5.
  • Added animation for the score penalty.
  • Updated the appearance of missiles.
  • Implemented sprite highlighting for both player and enemy ships, enhancing their visual presence and making them stand out.
